100th Post: Coffee Giveaway!

Hello darlings!  This is the 100th post of A Tale of Two Cities. To celebrate this momentous occasion and THANK YOU for reading, we are doing our first giveaway: two bags of Ummata Coffee!
  
Two my dearest friends in LA (who also happen to be one of the coolest married couples I know), Katie and Cody, decided to make their passion for good coffee beyond a hobby of bean roasting and started Ummata Coffee.  Here are some reasons why their coffee is so amazing (in their words)... Ummata Coffee is:


Tiny Batch. Most coffee companies roast in thirty, one-hundred, or even three-hundred pound batches. We roast one order at a time, paying special attention each step of the process to ensure the highest quality roast.
Organic. All of the coffee we sell is USDA certified organic.
Fresh. We roast, package, and ship our coffee on the same day to ensure you get the freshest coffee possible.
Earth-Friendly. Not only do we sell organic coffee, but we package it in bags that are both recyclable and biodegradable.
As a former barista, I too have a great passion for coffee.  Not only do I love the obvious benefits of the caffeine, but I love how it brings people together.  Catching up with a good friend over a cup of delicious coffee is definitely towards the top of my 'favorite things' list. :-) 


Here's how YOU can win two bags of freshly-roasted-to-perfection Ummata Coffee beans (your choice of their three varieties listed here).  Just leave a comment about what you love about coffee (OR something you like about this blog).  (Sidenote: If you have a gmail account like most of the world does, you can use that info to sign in to leave a comment... easy breezy!).  We'll use www.random.org to randomly select a commenter as the lucky WINNER on Monday 3/21.

    first off, i LOVE this blog. the fact that you girls are doing this together is awesome.

    now for my entry. coffee, what can i say besides the fact that it rocks so much ass. Not only does it give me that extra boost in the morning, but it allows me to catch-up with my coworkers. The favorite part of my day is filling up my Harry Potter mug. Coffee is universal.

    I love your your blog because it keeps me informed on what is happening in your very interesting lives, it often inspires a chuckle, and you both write very well. I came to love coffee later in life when my own personal Starbucks barista created fabulous concoctions that won me over.

    here's the thing: coffee is the nectar of life. monday-friday at least. after working hours, that's a completely different story. the other half of the prepster apartment can attest to that.

    It's like I've always said- Coffee is so much more than a drink; it brings people together. Friends. Family. Lovers. Co-workers. It can bring you together with yourself if enjoyed in private...it's a beautiful thing!

    THis is so gonna sound cheesy, but I love this blog because it is like a coffee shop. As you said, "it brings people together." Not only you and Mary, but all of your friends. Plus that, I like a nice bold cup of coffee that makes a statement, and not a coffee that is weak. Sometimes your blog is that bold cup of coffee in my day. Thank you ladies for sharing!

    Ahhh I love you two so much and my interest in this blog is made quite evident by my sometimes excessive commenting, haha. And I love coffee (mostly when served by the darling AT). I love the way it smells, the way it tastes, and the way it brings people together.

    I read your blog on a near obsessive basis - which is to say, if I go five minutes without checking it, the anxiety is so great, i confuse the pain I experience with a heart attack. And I drink coffee with the same regularity. There's nothing romantic about it. I'm addicted. It's a problem. If I win this giveaway, you would actually just be an enabler. - Pierre
