8:11- January and February Highlights

I wrote a post a couple months ago about a fun little thing I do where I take a photo every single night at 8:11 pm.  I post these daily photos on Twitter, but since many of you may not follow me on Twitter, I decided to choose my favorite 8:11s from each month and post them here.

Since I'm starting this fun little recap in March, I'll go ahead and post my favorite 8:11 memories from January and February (with the original captions):

8:11-having din with my fun/wonderful friend AMBER who's in LA en route to moving to SF! Hoooray.

8:11-time for the governors ball! #oscars after party/best part of the night :)

8:11-gave the boy tickets to his hockey team's game for V-day. Currently cheering for the Red Wings.

Many fun 8:11s the past two months!  Let's see how March compares. ;-)

Currently listening to: Eisley's new album, "The Valley"
Why: This melodic indie-rock band of four siblings and a cousin from Texas was a large part of the soundtrack of my early college years.  I listened to their 2005 album "Room Noises" on repeat and have a feeling I'll be doing the same with this new album as well.  Apparently one (or several) of the songwriting siblings must have gone through a bad break up while writing this album; many of the songs deal with that theme.  While they're definitely emo (which, let's be honest, I love...), it's really refreshing, not depressing.  I just downloaded it last night, but my initial favorite songs are "Smarter", "Watch It Die," "Better Love," and "I Wish."  Two thumbs up... I highly recommend.

  1. Que vida más buena! Me gustan todas las fotos. You know, now that I attempt to be a twitterer and blogger, I want to do something like this. You can add me to the list of people following you 8:11 trend. Maybe I'll start a 4:25...
